Our Story
Welcome to our enchanting wedding venue, a place steeped in the rich history of the Bragg, James, Long, and Bryant families. Our story begins with the Bragg family, who received this picturesque land generations ago, a parcel of earth that would become the heart of our wedding venue. From the very beginning, this land bore witness to the unfolding tapestry of history, with old county roads weaving through the property and the remnants of a home-place standing as silent sentinels. Notably, this land played a significant role in the love story of William Bragg and Sarah Bryant, who risked it all to marry discreetly in the middle of the river, transcending the societal norms of their time.
Through the years, the land exchanged hands, and at one point, three sisters, Ida Mae Long, Douscie May Long, and Ina Mae Long, owned it, creating a family connection that endures today. Jennifer and Michael, deeply enamored with this land, eventually moved here after countless visits. Their love for this place and its history is what inspired them to share it with you.
As we weave together the threads of our past, we are committed to preserving this precious piece of history and nature for generations to come. Explore the grounds and discover the Indian arrowheads that whisper secrets of days gone by. Join us in celebrating the enduring love stories, the brave spirits who risked it all, and the families who have shaped this land. Welcome to a place where history, love, and natural beauty converge to create unforgettable memories for your special day.
